About Me

Caleb Pflederer was born and raised on a small horse ranch, in a town of about 2,500 people in Central Illinois, where he learned the value of hard work and a love for completing hands-on projects. Pflederer's father and grandfather were physicians specializing in treating kidney disease and showed him how fulfilling a career caring for patients could be. After graduating with honors at the University of Illinois, he attended Rush Medical College in Chicago and found a strong interest in general surgery, where he found he could treat patients with tangible, hands-on operations. Pflederer completed his residency at Carolinas Medical Center. While he is not treating patients, he spends the majority of his time with friends, family, and two golden retrievers, finding any body of water for them to swim in, playing golf or traveling.
