I grew up in Harrisburg, NC and attended UNC Chapel Hill for my undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees. I completed my MSN with honors in 2012. In college, I fell in love with nursing because of the close relationship nurses were able to develop with their patients. Since that time, I’ve practiced in a few different outpatient primary care clinics. One of my favorite things about pediatrics is getting to know families and watching kids grow and thrive. I have a particular interest in wellness, injury prevention, and nutrition. I am also a board-certified lactation consultant and enjoy supporting moms in both breast and bottle-feeding their infants. My goal is to make office visits as fun and pain-free as possible and I like to work with families to come up with care plans that work for their unique needs and lifestyle.   

When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my husband and three boys. I really enjoy cooking and especially baking. When the weather is nice, you’ll often find our family outside. We especially enjoy bike rides, walks around the neighborhood, hiking, skiing, and kayaking.
