About Me

James Franco, PA-C, is a Charlotte-native that is passionate about serving his community and bettering the health of others through compassion, empathy and education. He has always been drawn towards the field of cardiothoracic surgery and has been in this specialty since the start of his career as a physician assistant. He provides comprehensive care across the surgical spectrum—from preoperative assessment to intraoperative assistance and postoperative management. Franco completed his PA program at Gardner-Webb University with a heavy focus on surgery in clinical rotations. He has experience in surgeries such as coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), valve repair and replacement, thoracic surgery and is skilled in endoscopic vein harvesting and postoperative care. Understanding the importance of heart health helps keep him diligent with strength training, cardiovascular fitness and a good diet in his personal life.
