Dr. Proffitt attended medical school at Lincoln Memorial University in rural Appalachia where he became interested in wilderness medicine and community-based Family Medicine. His residency took him to Savannah, Georgia where he found further interests in mental health and lifestyle medicine. On the weekends you can find him on the water or in the mountains.
