About Me
Dr. Omar Ahmed is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician with expertise in managing critically ill patients and a wide range of respiratory conditions. He practices in both the intensive care unit and outpatient pulmonary clinic, with special interests in COPD, interstitial lung disease, sepsis and mechanical ventilation. Dr. Ahmed completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago. He is passionate about delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for critically ill patients. In addition to his clinical practice, he is interested in medical education, mentoring trainees, medical ethics and health disparities in medicine.
