Nursing leadership, in partnership with Human Resources and Learning & Development, has launched the CaroMont Health Apprenticeship & Mentor Program and a new career pathway program with Gaston College. This first-of-its-kind program gives interested and eligible employees a tuition-free opportunity to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). What is the LPN Pathway with Gaston College?

Created to support the development of future healthcare professionals, the LPN Pathway is a collaboration between CaroMont Health, CaroMont Health Foundation and Gaston College. The program lets CaroMont Health employees balance their current role with education, training and mentorship to become an LPN. The program is tuition free, meaning eligible and accepted employees will not pay out of pocket or use student loans.

Who is eligible for the program?

Any CaroMont Health employee interested in advancing or transitioning their career to become an LPN.
