Pulmonary Rehabilitation
The CaroMont Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is designed to meet the needs of individuals living with lung disease or breathing problems who want to improve their quality of life. Pulmonary rehabilitation helps participants decrease their symptoms of lung disease, reduce admissions to the hospital, cope with anxiety and improve their ability to perform daily activities.
In a safe and supportive environment, our expert team of pulmonologists, exercise physiologists, registered nurses, registered dietitians and respiratory therapists guides patients using exercise, nutrition and education.
The program requires a physician referral for participation and is covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Patients diagnosed with the following may be eligible:
- Heart Failure
- Emphysema or COPD
- Asthma
- Chronic Bronchitis
- Cystic Fibrosis
- Pulmonary Fibrosis
- Pulmonary Hypertension
- Lung Transplant
- Shortness of breath
- Other breathing problems
