Dr. James P. Greelish is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with more than 20 years of experience who has performed over 4,000 heart and lung operations with excellent outcomes as evaluated by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. As Medical Director of Cardiac Surgery, his expertise includes complex coronary artery bypass surgery, valve surgery (aortic, mitral and tricuspid), minimally invasive procedures, off-pump bypass surgery, mitral valve repair, TAVR and VATS lobectomy. Dr. Greelish is a former Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Vanderbilt University and Associate Clinical Professor at Columbia University in New York, with 33 peer-reviewed articles and ten book chapters to his credit. He also serves as a legal expert for the North Carolina Board of Medicine and in private litigation.
