Overview

The pharmacy residency program is made up of exceptional individuals with a shared dedication to advancing patient care and pharmacy practice. Each resident brings unique experiences, skills and passions to our program as they immerse themselves in a challenging yet rewarding program. 

PGY-1 Residents

Madeline Lysogorski

Hometown: Suffield, CT
Undergraduate: University of South Carolina
Pharmacy School: University of South Carolina
Why CaroMont Health: At Midyear, I had such a great conversation with the residents and really enjoyed speaking with everyone. This feeling was only solidified at my interview, where everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I loved the environment, and how it had a great family feel. With the opportunities available to me in terms of Emergency Medicine, I knew CaroMont Health was the right place for me!
Fun Fact: I love to travel, I studied abroad for a semester during pharmacy school and was able to complete one of my pharmacy rotations in Hawaii.

Devin O'Brien

Pharmacy School: Virginia Commonwealth University
Why CaroMont Health: I felt welcomed when I went for my interview. Everyone at CaroMont seemed like they wanted to be there! They are a smaller hospital and I loved the idea of being able to know all of the providers personally!

I've run an international marathon

Courtney Self

Why CaroMont Health: I chose CaroMont Regional Medical Center because of its strong commitment to patient care and serving the community. The various rotations introduce diverse patient populations with complex health issues to foster learning and growth as a pharmacist. All of the staff at CaroMont Health challenge residents to think critically and holistically about patient cases. This residency program has helped me advance both my professional and personal goals. Lastly, it is exciting to be able to improve a community close to where I grew up.

I've been to 11 different countries.


PGY-2 Residents

Allison Kump

Hometown: Illinois

Pharmacy School: St. Louis College of Pharmacy
Why CaroMont Health: I chose CaroMont for my PGY-2 residency because of the strong pharmacy presence in the ER and the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care along with the strong support system for resident well-being.
Fun Fact: I love to complete jigsaw puzzles.

Why CaroMont Health: I chose CaroMont as my PGY-1 program for the diverse experiences in multiple specialty areas. I stayed on as a PGY-2 EM resident because I loved the hands on, teamwork driven environment the emergency department offers
