CaroMont Cancer Centers in Gastonia and Lincolnton Earn National Accreditation for Radiation Oncology Excellence
CaroMont Cancer Center in Gastonia and CaroMont Health Lincoln Cancer Center have both earned full accreditation from the American Society for Radiation Oncology's Accreditation Program for Excellence® (APEx®). This four-year designation recognizes our radiation oncology programs' commitment to delivering safe, high-quality cancer care — and reflects the dedication of every member of our team who makes that possible each day.
APEx is a voluntary, rigorous accreditation program built around five pillars of patient care: the process of care, the radiation oncology team, safety, quality management and patient-centered care. Earning this designation means our policies, procedures, equipment and staffing have been evaluated against nationally recognized standards by trained radiation oncology professionals and vetted through a comprehensive process of self-assessment and independent facility review.
For patients, APEx accreditation is meaningful assurance in the care they receive. Our CaroMont cancer centers have been held to verifiable standards for safety and quality, and our teams follow documented processes designed to reduce the chance of error, support informed decision-making and keep you at the center of every step in your treatment.
We are proud to have both centers recognized with this achievement, and even more proud of the patients who trust us with their care. Learn more about the personalized cancer care available close to home.
