CaroMont Health, Carolina Caring Partner to Enhance Hospice and Palliative Care Services
CaroMont Health and Carolina Caring has announced plans to partner in the provision of hospice and palliative care services in Gaston County. The partnership will bolster the already exceptional care and support provided by Gaston Hospice & Palliative Care and further extend Carolina Caring’s expansive regional reach.
CaroMont Health and Carolina Caring will establish a new strategic partnership (a joint venture owned by Carolina Caring and CaroMont Health) where Gaston Hospice and Palliative Care will operate under the name Carolina Caring. While all services will be branded and become Carolina Caring, all hospice and palliative care operations will remain in place in Gaston County and the Robin Johnson House in Dallas will continue to welcome patients and families requiring inpatient hospice care.
“CaroMont Health is continually focused on the enhancement of clinical services and offerings to ensure patients have access to the best care,” said Danny Wharton, Chief Operating Officer for CaroMont Health. “Carolina Caring shares our deep commitment to caring for patients and supporting their families as they face serious illness and end of life. This partnership will only enhance the exceptional care and compassionate service that our community has come to know and trust.”
Patients and families of Gaston Hospice will experience a seamless transition, with no disruption in service and no transition in care teams. Both existing and new patients will benefit from the expertise Carolina Caring offers with its expanded network focused on the delivery of exceptional hospice and palliative care.
“Carolina Caring has been grateful to serve Gaston County residents for the last 12 years,” said Dana Killian, President & CEO, Carolina Caring. “We have immense respect for the quality of care and commitment to the community that has been provided by Gaston Hospice and CaroMont Health. We’re excited for this partnership to ensure exceptional care remains available to all members of Gaston County now and in the future.”
