North Carolina Society for Respiratory Care Names Dr. Heath High "Physician of the Year"
GASTONIA, N.C. – Dr. Heath High, Medical Director for Critical Care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, has been named “Physician of the Year” by the North Carolina Society for Respiratory Care (NCSRC).
The NCSRC “Physician of the Year” award recognizes an outstanding physician who motivates, leads and inspires members of the care team. Dr. High’s nomination was supported by the respiratory therapy team at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, citing his dedication and advocacy for both patients and staff.
Dr. High has been a member of the Critical Care team at CaroMont Regional Medical Center since 2014. In his role of Medical Director, he helps organize and coordinate physician services and services provided by other members of the critical care team. Dr. High’s experience and expertise has been especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy have cared for a record number of patients at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
