COVID-19 Vaccines Arrive at CaroMont Health
Thursday morning, CaroMont Health received approximately 1,950 doses of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccination, designated for front line healthcare workers. The health system's vaccination roll out follows prioritization guidelines as outlined in Phase 1A of the state's distribution plan.
After 10 challenging months of the pandemic, the delivery of a safe and effective vaccine was a welcome step forward in the fight against COVID-19. The first vaccinations of front line employees are scheduled for Friday, December 18 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and expected to better protect those employees at a higher risk exposure to COVID-19 as they continue to work for the health and safety of patients and the community.
