CaroMont Health OB/GYN Practices Combine to Better Serve Patients

On April 1, Gaston Women’s Healthcare and Ashley Women’s Health joined together to become CaroMont Women’s Health. With more than 25 years of providing compassionate women’s healthcare in Gaston County, the newly-combined practice will provide a platform for more collaboration between physicians and expanded service offerings for patients.

“CaroMont Women’s Health will give patients access to a larger group of medical experts in three convenient offices in Gastonia and Belmont,” says Rachel Miller, MD, physician lead for women’s services at CaroMont Health. “Both of these practices and physicians have long worked together as part of CaroMont Health’s women’s services and in the Birthplace at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, so the integration makes a lot of sense for our patients. We see ourselves as the community’s leader in comprehensive and compassionate women’s care, and this partnership is a natural progression in our goal to provide exceptional care.”

While the physical practice locations will not change, the integration of Gaston Women’s Healthcare and Ashley Women’s Center will create a greater network of health experts operating under one name. All locations will offer in-practice obstetrics and gynecological care, and inpatient procedures and labor/delivery will still take place at CaroMont Regional Medical Center and the Birthplace.
