CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont Now Open
CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont is now open near Exit 27 on Interstate 85 in Belmont. The hospital, the second for CaroMont Health and the first ever constructed in Belmont, is expected to serve patients in Gaston, Lincoln and Mecklenburg Counties in North Carolina and York County in South Carolina.

With 54 licensed inpatient beds, the hospital also has an expertly designed emergency department, a maternity unit that focuses on family-centered care, a state-of-the-art surgical suite, and a full complement of diagnostic and imaging services. The hospital features all private patient rooms; expansive family areas for participation in care and for moments of quiet reflection; a non-denominational chapel; and a cafeteria with fresh and grab-and-go options. Serving as an extension of CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, the new hospital will further extend CaroMont Health’s growing network of facilities and clinics.

Care team stations are centrally located on patient floors to improve communication and flow. CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont relied heavily on doctors, nurses and clinical professionals to inform every aspect of the project.
The hospital is the last project in CaroMont Health’s 2019 commitment to invest more than $400 million in construction and expansion projects in and around Gaston County. Part of a 28-acre medical campus located near the campus of Belmont Abbey College, the site is also home to a four-floor medical pavilion, offering eight specialty clinics and the Belmont Surgery Center, a cutting-edge ambulatory surgery center providing outpatient orthopedic and spinal surgeries.
Strong community partnerships have proven paramount to the project. In 2020, CaroMont Health entered into an agreement with The Southern Benedictine Society and Belmont Abbey College to lease the 28 acres where the hospital and medical campus now stand.

The main lobby at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont offers a spacious waiting area designed with visitor convenience and comfort in mind.

CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont is located at 1000 CaroMont Parkway in Belmont. The Emergency Department at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
